mountaineering program, basic technical skills and good shape required.
Climb with us an Inca Sanctuary, get to its wonderful summit and
have a look around!! You will see big Aconcagua and Tupungato mountains
and enjoy all the emotion of climbing a five thousand meters peak.
It offers a very good acclimatization for those who are going to
climb others big mountains during the season: Aconcagua, Mercedario,
Ojos del Salado or other.

| Day 1 SANTIAGO
- LAGUNA DEL FRANCISCANO |
| In the
morning we pick up you at your hotel and after check the personal
gear, we drive up to the mountains. In about two hours, we arrive
to Valle Nevado just above Santiago, were we set up our first camp
at Laguna del Franciscano (2900m) not far from the car, then we hike
up a mountain just above camp, to begin with our acclimatization process,
then back to camp, free time and dinner Camp. (L,D) |
| Day 2 LAGUNA
DEL FRANCISCANO - PIEDRA NUMERADA |
| After breakfast
we begin our hike up, crossing north and then up the river, and in
the meantime we will see lot of different birds, even a condor if
we are lucky. On the way up the landscape will surprise us with always
changing views, including water falls and high altitude grasslands,
after 4 hours we arrive to Piedra Numerada at 3300m. Today our gear
and equipment it's move by mules, so we hike up, just using a day
pack for the personal items. Set up camp and dinner Camp. (B,L,D) |
| Day 3 PIEDRA
NUMERADA - LA OLLA |
| We hike
up for about 5-6 hours to our camp I at 4200m, now we are in more
open and harsh terrain, so we move slowly to aloud our body get the
habitude to altitude and effort, as we also will take our time to
set up camp. The rest of the day, we hydrated and rest Camp. (B,L,D) |
| Day 4 LA
OLLA - PLOMO SUMMIT - PIEDRA NUMERADA |
| Early morning
start up with Santiago lights back down, at this point depending on
the situation we could decide the use crampons. The walk is on easy
terrain, which leave us to gain altitude slowly but a good rhythm
and after 6 hours we arrive to El Plomo summit from where we came
down reversing the way up. At la Olla we eat, drink have and small
rest and then keep going down to Piedra Numerada, where we set up
camp and spent the night Camp. (B,L,D) |
| Day 5 PIEDRA
NUMERADA - SANTIAGO |
| Breakfast,
put down the camp and then we hike to the cars, arriving to them we
have lunch and then one hour ride to town. Our luggage is carried
again by the mules. Transfer to Santiago, and your hotel. (B,L) |
